Duplicity

This movie is a bit complex because its hard to follow everything and everybody's name. Actually I liked it because Julia Roberts starring and she is a really great actress. She looked a bit old in the movie. I guess she is getting older but she is still beautiful and an excellent actress. Anyway the movie is about a women called Claire Stenwick(Julia Roberts) and a man called Ray Koval(Clive Owen) who are in love with each other and have some secrets. They are together but they do not look like together. While watching the movie you ask yourself questions like are they together again, what they broke up, does she love him... If you have some free time you can see this movie but if you don't have you would not loose so much by not seeing it. So its up to you... :)

Seven Pounds

This is a really great movie but you can understand it if you finish watching it. Its impossible to understand what is going on until the end. Will Smith is in the leading role and he is a great actor. As usual he is fantastic in this movie. The general subject of the movie is a man called Ben Thomas who is trying to help seven people. He does not know those seven people, he just chose them. Does he have reason or he is just a psycho and having fun with seven people? Watch and learn. :) I highly recommend everyone to see this movie but only if you are patient enough to wait the movie end...

Gran Torino

This movie is released this week in Turkey and sounds interesting. Its about a widower, unhappy, tough-minded old man called Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) who cannot get over with either his neighbors or his kids. He is Korean War veteran and has a prize possession 1973 Gran Torino. When his neighbor Thao (Bee Vang) tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowolski sets out to reform the youth. Then he decides to protect his neighbors from the gangs that disturbs them. It is crime and drama movie. It can be interesting but also its some parts could be boring because the story is a bit classic, the old unhappy man becoming a savior. If you have some free time you give it a chance. I don't think its a horrible movie because Clint Eastwood had acted in Million Dollar Baby which was a really good movie. So, lets give it a chance... :)

Winner of 8 Oscars

I watched Slumdog Millionaire yesterday and it was gorgeous. I loved it. First of all the subject was really impressive. The filming was really great and the combination with the music made the movie great. I think it deserved to win that much awards. It was different than other movies and I think people need to watch movies like this to get something, and not waste their two hours in a room. I did not know Indian music is that good before watching this movie. Everything was really great. There was only one thing which disturbed me, even it is not about the movie I want to tell it. Most of the people are not patient enough to watch the movie till the real end. They leave the theatre without reading the credits. I think it is a rude behavior because a movie is not only about the actors and actresses, there are other people who had effort in the movie. Without them there would not be this movie. Everyone should stay in the cinema until the credits end. It is a respect to the and in some movies they put some scenes near the credits which are important. Most of the people miss it. Anyway, back to Slumdog Millionaire, I highly recommend everyone to watch it but not because it won Oscar, because it is a really good movie which gives you a different point of view to life and makes you see that everyone in the World does not have the same opportunities with you.
